Best Time to Visit Tioman Island

March to October is the best time for Tioman Island visiting. Between the October end and early March, the underwater world looks ugly and dark for the northeast monsoon. Most resorts on the island are closed during the bad Tioman Island season.

Check online the school and public holiday in Malaysia and Singapore because the island will be crowded in those holidays. Because of the tropical climate, you can find rain anytime between April and October.

How to Get to Tioman Island

The cheapest way to get from Kuala Lumpur to Toman Island is by the bus over land and across the sea that costs RM30. From Kuala Lumpur, it will take 5 hours to reach Mersing village and then continues with a ferry to reach the island.

Another option to get to Tioman Island from Kuala Lumpur is by a direct flight to Pulau Tioman Airport that costs over RM700 for every return flight. The direct flights are available from Subang Airport and Changi Airport Singapore. Daily flight is available in peak seasons.
