Before you come to Da Nang international airport in Vietnam, it is best to learn some of the basic stuff, such as your accommodation and transportation. You need to know at least where you are going to and with which means of transportation. It will make it easy for you to travel to the city (from the airport) or to go to the airport from the city.
1. Shuttle Bus
This service operates from 5 AM to 11 PM with intervals of one hour in each departure. The fare is from 100.000 to 120.000 VND or around $4 to $5 per person. If you are staying close to Hoi An Old Town, you can drop you off. The greatest advantage of using the shuttle bus service is that you can make an online booking. If you do it, someone will already wait for you once your plane arrives and you won’t have to stand in line to buy the tickets too. If you want to travel from Hoi An to the airport, keep in mind that the service runs from 4 AM to 10 PM. It takes less than 45 minutes from the airport to the city centre.
2. Public Bus
This is different from the previous one in terms of comfort and price. With this yellow bus number one, you can also reach the city centre in less than 45 minutes. The fare is around 20.000 VND or less than $1 per passenger. The bus runs once every 20 minutes to 6 PM. The last stop is at Ben Xe Nguyen Tat Thanh. From there, you can continue walking for 20 minutes to the Old Town. When compared to the shuttle bus, the shuttle bus has better service. But the one for the public bus is not bad either.
If you use a taxi, it takes 45 minutes to reach the Old Town. Using this service is suitable if you are travelling in a large group, or when you are travelling with kids, or when you carry a lot of luggage. From the airport, you need to spend between 300.000 and 400.000 VND (around $10.50 to $14.50) per trip.
4. Private Car Transfer
If you are ready to spend extra for an exclusive service, this private car booking is reliable, easy, and fast. You can travel comfortably and you can manage online booking. When you have input the (flight) details, the driver should be waiting at the airport. This service is considered safe because you can be free from any price haggling, scams, and delays. The fare depends on your destinations – you can use it to reach other destinations other than the city centre. If you want to book the service to travel around the city, don’t forget to ask for the price beforehand. And expect to pay more for this comfortable service.
5. Motor Taxi
If you are travelling alone and travelling light (with only a backpack or a small travel bag), you can use a motor-taxi. When compared to a taxi, the motor-taxi is cheaper (it’s 3 times cheaper). Traffic jams won’t be a problem because the bike can move easily between cars. The major flaw is that you can’t use the service if you have huge luggage or you aren’t travelling solo.
6. Uber or Grab
The online transportation service is also available in Da Nang. When compared to the regular taxi service, this one is considered safer and more reliable. In general, it takes around 20.000 or $1 from the airport to the city centre. It’s just as comfy as the regular taxi service.
So, interested in visiting Da Nang? You should manage everything, including your accommodations and flights. For your flights, you can choose services like Vietnam Airlines or Vietjet Air if you go to Airpaz.
