Navigating Phoenix Airport Terminal: A Step-by-Step Handbook

Before embarking on your journey through Phoenix Airport, it’s essential to understand the layout of the Phoenix Airport terminal. This article delves into the details to ensure a smooth travel experience. Let’s take a look!

Phoenix Airport Terminals

At Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), you will find three main terminals: T2, T3, and T4.

T2, which used to serve Delta and a few others, unfortunately closed down on February 4, 2020, after 58 years of service. Concourse A is now in T4, while T3 houses airlines like Southwest Airlines, with Concourse B and C.

Interestingly, even though T1 was demolished in 1991, the other terminals were not renamed. The mural from T2, the Coze one, was moved to the Rental Car Center in 2021.

Phoenix Airport Terminal 3

Phoenix Airport terminal 3, also known as John S. McCain III Terminal, caters primarily to regional and domestic flights, housing local carriers like Delta Air Lines, Breeze Airways, JetBlue Airways, and FlexJet.

The Phoenix Airport terminal layout features:

  • Arrivals on the first level also include check-in counters, baggage claim, and ground transportation options.
  • Security checks are conducted on the second level.
  • The fourth level houses boarding gates and the PHX Sky Train stop for convenient terminal-to-terminal and airport access.

This Phoenix Airport terminal ensures seamless travel experiences for passengers with its array of facilities and efficient transport options.
