You still have more than 2 hours before you can board the next flight. What should you do? Your best way is to find a place where you can have fun and relax, and it shouldn’t be too far from the airport. No need to worry because there are many places that you can visit. 1. Nai Yang Beach
This is a popular destination for tourists, not only for those who want to wait in between their flights but also those who are looking for a quiet place to relax – simply enjoying the sun! It may not be overly crowded like other popular beaches, but most tourists are always returning. It is quiet and beautiful, with lots of shady places, restaurants, and bars. If you are looking for some action, this beach may not be the best option for you. However, if you are looking for some relaxing moments enjoying the view and listening to the calm waves while relaxing under the shady, sipping your tropical drinks, and eating some local foods, then Nai Yang beach is the perfect place!
Reaching the beach from Phuket Airport is quite easy. The beach is only 3 kilometers from the airport. If you want to walk, you can do it although it is going to take you 30 to 40 minutes to reach it. If you use the bus, it takes around 42 baht and 16 minutes to reach the beach. If you use the shuttle service, it takes around 405 baht and 4 minutes. If you take a taxi, it takes around 245 baht and 4 minutes. If you rent a car, you can reach it in 4 minutes but finding a parking lot can be quite difficult.
2. Sirinat National Park
This park is located right next to Nai Yang beach. In some cases, you can easily cross the beach to the national park without having to pay anything. However, you may need to pay 40 baht for the admission fee, in general. It isn’t like your regular national park, mind you. Since it is located close to the beach, it feels like you are on a beach with the sandy surrounding and clear blue water. It is great for swimming and hiking, and you can enjoy the peaceful and somewhat wild outdoor atmosphere. Because the park is located near Nai Yang beach, you can use the same means of transportation to reach the park from the airport.

3. Mai Khao Beach
The beach offers the same serene and peaceful setting for those tired and exhausted travelers. If you just want to relax and enjoy the view, then this beach is right up your alley. Another signature style of this beach is the fact that you can see planes coming and going = heading to Phuket Airport.
Mai Khao is 16 kilometers away from the airport. If you use a taxi, be prepared to spend around 330 baht. It takes around 16 minutes to reach the beach. If you drive, it takes around 16 to 17 minutes. If you use a private transfer, it takes 16 minutes, and you have to spend around 380 baht to 780 baht.
