In the event you are traveling to Singapore with your family, don’t forget to visit Snow City Singapore. It is the newest ‘cool’ attraction in the country, offering you a chance to experience what it is like to be in minus 5 degrees surrounding. Of course, such an opportunity sounds like a great offer if you have been living in hot tropical areas.
About the Attraction
Not only you can enjoy the cold setting, but you can enjoy the bumper car ride. When else can you bump your ride to others in a whimsical and fun cold situation? Feel free to take a picture with the white snowy background – it would be fun! And your fun would double up when you drive the bumper car and enjoy the slippery (harmless, of course) condition.
Located in the Science Center, the place is easy to reach. The bumper car ride concept isn’t exactly a new thing. The car comes in a circular shape and it can only be driven by one person. This is the most popular and likable attraction, considering that it is perfect for both kids and adults. The numbers of adults are dominating the attraction. Who says that adults can’t have fun, eh?
The ticket is pretty affordable. It is S$24 the standard rate for each kid or adult – applicable for an hour of the snow play session, plus one bumper car ride. For residents in Singapore, the rate is different. It is S$17 for each kid or S$21 per adult.
If you decide to play for longer hours, the cost is cheaper. The standard rate for each adult or child would be S$29 – valid for 2 hours of a snow play session and one number car ride. For the residents of Singapore, it would be S$26 for an adult and S$22 for each kid. If you want to have an additional ride (for the bumper car), it is going to cost you S$5 for 1 play, or S$9 for 2 plays, or S$12 for 3 plays.
Be advised that the admission fee covers winter boots and winter jackets usages. But if you want to rent or buy winter gear, there are different prices. Adult gloves rental is around S$2.90 and it is S$2.20 for kids. Waterproof rental for kids is S$3.90 while it is S$4.90 for adults. If you want to buy socks, it is S$2.90 for kids and S$3.50 for adults.
In short, you always want to check it online before you visit the place. You don’t want to be surprised by the extra fee or whatsoever. You also want to check the regulations of what you can do and what you can’t.
Making snowman is one thing to do while in Snow City. Others? You can enjoy the snow slide too. If you are bored with the snow, you may like The Cliff. This is a wall-climbing spot that you can enjoy – whether alone or with your loved ones.
