About the Incheon Seoul airport Two Terminals
Incheon Airport has 2 major terminals: Terminal 1 and 2. The previous one was the oldest construction before Terminal 2 started its operation from January 2018. Some airlines were relocated from Terminal 1 to 2, such as Delta Air Lines, Korean Air, Air France, KLM, and Air Lines. In the future, it is possible that China Eastern Airlines will join the relocation to Terminal 1.
1. Terminal 1 Incheon Airport
Since Terminal 1 was the main terminal of the airport, you can find a lot of ports for custom checking, passport inspection, and check-in. If you are travelling by Korean Air, China Southern, or Asiana Airlines, you can find automatic counter check-in to make the process easier.
It would be easy to find Terminal 1 concourse where international airlines arriving and departing. On the 3 levels, it is divided into East Wing and West Wing with a total of 6 airport lounges and 30 boarding gates. Just like other international airports, you can find a lot of services, such as nursery, retail and drink establishments, currency exchange booths, luggage storage, pharmacies, and medical service. Terminal 1 has 4 levels. Level 1 is for arrival and Level 3 is for departure.

2. Terminal 2 Incheon Airport
This is the new and modern terminal with eco-friendly style and design. The eco-friendly feature can be seen from the vegetation to deliver fresh and green atmosphere, roof photovoltaic panels, and the glass ceiling allowing natural lights to fill in the area. It has 5 levels with modern features and technologies. Robots fleets, self-check-in machines, and auto bag-drop technologies are available in this terminal. Right now, the terminal only serves KLM, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air, and Air France.
Right now, the terminal is having the second stage construction work which is expected to finish in 2025. If it happens, the size will increase significantly – affecting the numbers of passenger capacity. Just like Terminal 1, you can also find many services at Terminal 2, such as stores, food courts, praying room, and so much more.
Terminal Transfers
Airport Express is your way to transfer between terminals. The general fare is 600 won. You can buy the tickets at AREX station, which is available in both terminals. If you want to use the shuttle bus, it is available for free. No need to worry about any delay or whatsoever because it departs once every five minutes. It takes around 15 minutes to 20 minutes in between the terminals.
If you are from Terminal 1 heading to Terminal 2, you can find it at the third level at Gate 8. If it is the other way around, you can find it at the third level between Gate 4 and Gate 5 at Terminal 2.
