If you have more than 5 hours to wait, you can always go out to the nearby resorts or spots, such as Nai Yang beach or Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. However, make sure that you stay close to the airports. Choose transportation wisely. The traffic is Thailand is notoriously known as unpredictable. Make sure that you have prepared the traveling time and you should have enough time for the trip without rushing.

If you have only several hours to wait (less than 6 hours), it’s advisable that you stay in. Make use of the available facilities like the WiFi and the lounges. Yes, you will have to pay for the service but it is not much – and you can enjoy the facilities while waiting. After all, some lounges do sell entrance passes for those who aren’t flying business.

There are tons of things to do in the airport, really. If you like shopping, or you want to have a window-shopping experience, the duty-free shops are available to cater to your needs. They are available at the Departure and Arrival halls, along with money changers. There are 4 counters in the Arrival section and 1 counter in the Departure section. Having the local currency shouldn’t be a problem either.

Sauna and Spa are located on the second floor at Terminal Hall. It will give you a nice feeling after you are done. You get to close your eyes a while and you will be pampered with exclusive treatment. Pharmacy and mobile charging ports are also available so you won’t have to worry that your mobile phone will run out of power.
