For the Indian city of Bangalore (Bengaluru) and the state of Karnataka, Kempegowda Airport serves as the main international entrance point.

There is only one passenger terminal at Bangalore Airport, Terminal 1, which can hold more than 20 million passengers annually and is used for both domestic and international flights.

International and domestic flights are handled at Bangalore Airport Terminal 1’s four levels. 

  • Ground Level

Arrivals are scheduled here. Here is the breakdown of the amnesties: The domestic and international check-in areas are on the left, and international and domestic arrivals are on the right.

International services are provided on the green line, where duty-free stores, cafes, and foreign passenger arrivals are located.

Domestic services, meanwhile, are managed on the red line. Additionally, you can find shops, food, and beverages here.

  • First Level 

The departure area  is at this point. International departures are to the right, and domestic departures are to the left.

It also features VIP lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges (both domestic and international), and lounges for domestic and international departures.

  • Gate Areas 

This area is for departures. International Departures are at gates 12 to 17 and 1 to 7 for domestic departures.

Additional features and services include seven emigration checkpoints, international customs and security checks, duty-free shopping at several locations, food and beverage, and The New Day Hotel.

  • The HAJJ Terminal

In addition, a terminal with a capacity of more than 600 passengers is explicitly designated for Hajj pilgrims. Prayer rooms can be found there.

Bangalore Airport Terminal 2 

The terminal is being constructed in two phases, with the first phase able to accommodate 25 million more travelers in 2021 and 45 million more in 2027–2028. The two terminals of the airport will have a combined capacity of 65 million passengers per year once they are done.

The following are some amnesties that are available in the terminals. 

Free WiFi internet is available throughout the terminal building. However, you must have the password saved on your mobile device.

Individual entry points are available for passengers with special needs. Additionally, airlines provide help with wheelchairs.

You can hire a porter for domestic arrivals and foreign and domestic departures to carry your bags and luggage. There is a fee of 200 rupee (USD 2,42) for domestic tourists, while there is a price of 300 rupees (USD 3,63) for foreign visitors.

There are also money exchange desks and ATMs available. Additionally, there is a shopping area in the terminal with shops and duty-free vendors.

Last but not least, there are facilities for left luggage in the arrivals area. It costs between 250 and 2500 rupees (USD 3,02 to 30,21) for 12 hours.
